My main interest is in the application of Health Information Technology, and designing work systems that will improve quality and safety in healthcare. My PhD in 2008 was awarded on an analysis of multidisciplinary medical team meetings and the use of ICT. In the past I worked as a Chief Medical Scientist and Laboratory Information System Manager. I specialised in Cell Pathology. I hold an M.Sc. Management in Management (Organization Behaviour), and M.Sc (Health Informatics). Other qualifications are FIBMS, CMIAC and CSci. I work as lecturer in Informatics, with special interest in HCI, at Karlstad University Business School.
